The snow will never end!!

It's Feb. 1 and it's great to put January behind us. January brought us 60 degree weather and a tornado the first week and not more than 5 days later, snow!! We've had -30 degrees with the wind chill, ice/sleet/snow storms, high wind advisories and in the past 24 hours, we have accumulated almost 8 inches of snow, gotta love Wisconsin.

Ben and Megan are doing great and I'm going to add some pictures from the end of December. They had a great day of snowing and sledding with their Aunt Laurie and cousin Kaitlyn. 1st grade seems to be treating Ben well and Megan can't wait to start kindergarden. We are now a month into swim lessons and having a blast. It's amazing to see the progress Ben has made in the last year and Megan is a little fish.

Christmas was great and it was wonderful to see everyone and celebrate the holidays. At the end of December, Matt and I got together with some friends and celebrated with a small fundraiser for a village in Ecuador. Our friend, Kyle, is a teacher in Quito and his students and fellow teachers have adopted an Ecuadorian mountain village, Picalqui, to help with educational and sanitary needs as well as providing necessities such as food and clothing. We are so proud to have a friend like Kyle, it's a wonderful thing he has started and we are proud to be a part of it. Attached is the youtube link on the village and their last visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3I98ug53JK8 Kyle is the last guy in the film counting to 10 in English with the students.

The Superbowl is this weekend and it's hard to get excited when the Pack should be there. The Giants also deserve to go, but you can't help but wish it was the Packers and Favre. Atleast Badgers basketball is going strong and they're doing great. Hopefully they can carry the terrific playing into March. Ahhhh March, bring on the Brewers. Matt and I are going to spring training in March (thanks mom and dad) for a couple of games and then we're going to spend some time in Sedona. We are really looking forward to it. It helps ease the time until April 4, Opening Day!!
